Dear Prospective Parents,
The decision of where to start your child's education is an important one that deserves the utmost consideration.  It is imperative to find a program that is the right fit for your child and  your family; one that meets the principles important to you.

We are truly proud of the program we offer young children at Country Village Day School.  The environment we strive to create mimics the elements found in a loving home.  Each staff member is picked to model and teach the ideals and skills that facilitate children in becoming well-adjusted, competent and confident individuals.  Our program aims at challenging and encouraging each child to be the best they can be.  we feel that raising a child in today's society is often a team effort between parents and educators.  We enjoy working collaboratively with families to meet the needs of each unique child.

Our sincere thanks for your interest in our Early Childhood Program.

Country Village Day School is now offering homemade, organic lunches delivered straight to your child's classroom!  Please check them out:

Enrollment Procedures

Country Village is currently enrolling for ages six weeks through twelve years.  We have both full time and several part time options.  Children attending Country Village on a part time basis may extend their time here by paying an hourly fee after their part time care.  These hours must be prearranged so we can make certain we have adequate staff to care for the children.  Y  Availability and options are dependent on your desired start date, age of your child and desired hours.

Consideration of enrollment should begin with a visit to our school.  Tours are given Tuesday-Thursday 9AM-11:30 AM by appointment.  Please call to schedule a tour.  Should you have questions regarding registration materials, an administrator is always available to answer your questions.  During tours, we encourage you to bring your child/children to our facility so they too can get a feel for the school.  You will be responsible for completing various enrollment papers, including registration, immunization, health history and other required forms before your child's first day, as well as payment of the registration fee.

Country Village does accept state aid (DSHS) as tuition payment.  For more information, visit their website:  fortress.wa.gov/dshs/f2ws03esaapps/onlinecso/wccc.asp  Mercer Island Youth and Family Services also offers scholarships:  www.mercergov.org/SectionIndex.asp?SectionID=45

Enrollment is expected for the entire enrollment period.  It is the responsibility of the parets/guardians to notify the school at least one month (30 days) in advance of withdrawing, if disenrollment occurs prior to the endo fthe enrollment period, or if enrollment paperwork has been completed for future enrollment periods.

It is the perogative of the school to decide if a child may no longer attend.  Reasons for termination of a child's enrollment status may include, but are not limited to:

  • Non-payment of tuition
  • Behavior problems, such as excessive hitting or biting
  • Threats to the safety of children or staff

Termination will result only after modification strategies have been edhausted to the comfort level of CVDS.  Our priority is to provide a positive experience for all families.
