Dear Prospective Parents,
The decision of where to start your child's education is an important one that deserves the utmost consideration.  It is imperative to find a program that is the right fit for your child and  your family; one that meets the principles important to you.

We are truly proud of the program we offer young children at Country Village Day School.  The environment we strive to create mimics the elements found in a loving home.  Each staff member is picked to model and teach the ideals and skills that facilitate children in becoming well-adjusted, competent and confident individuals.  Our program aims at challenging and encouraging each child to be the best they can be.  we feel that raising a child in today's society is often a team effort between parents and educators.  We enjoy working collaboratively with families to meet the needs of each unique child.

Our sincere thanks for your interest in our Early Childhood Program.

Enrichments and Specialists

Country Village Day School offers specialist enrichements to the regular classroom curriculum four days a week.  Specialists offer instruction in music, language and literacy, and creative movement.  Each specialist visits the classroom for 15-30 minute segments.  Specialists offer new perspective and expertize in these designated areas.  Their instruction does not replace music, movement, language or literacy in the classroom curriculum, but enhances development in these areas.  Specialists are typically offered during the School Year/Fall Program.  We also have several "extra" programs available to your child requiring additional registration and fees.

Nancy Stewart-Music Appreciation

Ms. Nancy comes Mondays and Thursdays to sing, play music, and do rhythm activities.  Ms. Nancy has been at Country Village teaching music for many years.  Her original songs can be heard throughout all of our days both from the children and on CD.  She combines basic music instruction with fun, relevent and entertaining songs and movement.

Anne Motl-Creative Movement

Ms. Anne Motl visits on Tuesdays and teaches the children creative movement.  They are able to learn coordination, balance, flexibility and simple dance steps through her fun, interactive style.  Ms. Ann also introduces children to vocabulary pertaining to the body, movements, variations in rhythm and speed and spatial relationships.

Ann Crist-Language and Literacy

Ann Crist is our language and literacy specialist who visits on Wednesdays.  She introduces children to literacure and reinforces language develpment through a variety of age appropriate early literacy activities.  The children have fun, participate, and learn, as she shares books and flannel board stories, using puppets, songs, action poems, finger plays and dramatic activities to increase their vocabulary and develop listening, comprehension, obsercation and memory skills.
